I READ: Daniel 6:4-14, 20-29
Daniel once faced a difficult challenge that threatened his life. At the time, the higher rank governors were jealous of Daniel and they influenced King Darius to sign a law created specifically to indict Daniel. The law stated that no men should praise or worship any other God or man besides the king. Daniel was not able to abide to this law and was in turn thrown into the lion’s den as punishment for his crime. Daniel prayed to God but it seemed as if God did not answer his prayer hence why he ended up in the lion’s den. Despite what may seem like a hopeless situation for Daniel, the angels of God came and shut the mouth of the lions so they were not able to harm Daniel. Daniel not only escaped death but his act of faith became a testimony to the whole nation which made them believe in God. In turn God also raised Daniel higher in King Darius’ kingdom.
