I READ: Job 42 : 1-16
There is power when we give thanks to God. In good times, we can easily give thanks to the Lord. But in hard times, we usually lose heart and often times, complaints are coming out of our mouths. For all believers, no matter how hard our situation may be, we have to give thanks. We have to believe that we’ve received God’s promise even though the situation experienced is contrary to God’s promise. We have to put our trust in the Lord. God seemed to allow Job to suffer for reasons that were not understood, but Job always gave thanks. He was faithful as he waited for God’s promise to be fulfilled. The Lord extended His hand, restored him, and blessed him.
I DECLARE: 1 Thessalonians 5 : 18 : In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
I DO: What actions will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?
I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
