GUARD YOUR HEART

Daily Verses: Job 1

Key Verse: Proverbs 4:23: “Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life”.

Job is an example of a person that always kept his heart pure; to continue to please Abba Father in Heaven. Job was known as a blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil. Job would get up early in the morning and offer burnt offerings to God. For Job said, “Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular practice. God restored exponentially what the devil had stolen from Job because of his pure heart. This indicates how important the state of our heart in the eye of God. Why? because a good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart. Inspect our heart daily and repent from things that displeased the Lord. Unity will transpire if everyone can keep their heart to do good and positive things for each other. A good heart will not exude words or actions that harm others. Ask God to renew our heart daily to preserve its holiness and blameless.

A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.
