IT IS FINISHED

Daily Verses: Isaiah 53: 1 – 12

Key Verse: John 19:30: So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

Isaiah 53 illustrates Jesus’ suffering on the cross. His last words on the cross were: “It is finished!” This word is originated from the Greek word teleo, which means ‘debt that has been paid.’ When Jesus died on the cross, He paid all the wages of our sins. The Lord Jesus has finished it all for us. We cannot finish our wages of sins with our own strength. Through His work on the cross, all of our sins are forgiven and we have been made righteous because of His blood and we can now receive all of the heavenly blessings. Jesus has done His part, our part now is to believe in His work and receive it with faith. If these days we are experiencing problems, believe that Jesus has borne everything and there is nothing impossible for us. Victory is ours.

Our wages of sin have been paid on the cross by His blood. Starting today, walk through life as someone who has been freed.
