Job 42 : 2 : “I know that You can do everything, and that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You.”
Looking at our surrounding these days often make us feel worried; it seems like there is no safe place, the signs of the end times are becoming real as we approach the day of the Lord’s second coming. The condition of the world makes many people become fearful, worried, and panicked; people don’t feel safe anymore. How are the believers seeing the condition of the end times? If we believe that the shakings are the fulfillment of God’s Word, then we still have His wonderful promise that will not be withheld from us, even during difficult times.
God’s Word says that He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). David the Psalmist expresses his faith in the Lord in the midst of instability and uncertainty. The Lord has a perfect plan and no humans can understand His mind. HE is able to fulfill His promises even though the world is being shaken. When we continue to believe and depend on God’s strength, we will be in awe to see His promise and plan happen in our lives. The purpose is so that we can be witnesses of Christ and win many souls for Jesus.
Guard our spiritual eyes so that we can continue to focus on God’s plan and promise, even if we physically see bad things happening around us or within our lives. The Bible tells us a story about Job, who was suddenly tested in his life. Job probably did not understand God’s plan. When God restored his condition, he realized that God is able to do all things and none of His plan will fail. Jeremiah 29:11 says God’s plan is a plan of peace, to give us a future and a hope. Therefore, don’t give up or be pessimistic in bad times. We need to stay strong in any condition because God’s plan for us is good and wonderful in His time.
God will make us conquerors, even more than conquerors. Our lives are not determined by the problems or shakings that are happening, but by God who will never fail. Let us trust our lives in God’s wonderful promise and plan. Hallelujah, blessed be the name of the Lord Jesus.
