I READ: 1 Samuel 17:40-54
Before David was crowned as the king of Israel, he was a shepherd that had slayed lions and bears to safeguard his sheep2. David knew that God gave him the strength to slay those beasts. Those past experiences with God brought him to a fearless state when he had to challenge Goliath. He believed that when he did his part (slung his sling towards Goliath), then God will do His portion, that is bequeathing a victory for him. Through his life experiences, David became a warfare trained king. As children of God, we have to be a well-trained soldier of God. Fighting a spiritual warfare to defeat the power of darkness using His dominion.
I DECLARE: Psalm 144:1: A Psalm of David. Blessed be the Lord my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle.
I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?
I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
