I READ: Jonah 1:17, 2:1-10
God can speak to us through the circumstances that are happening around us. Like the story of Jonah. When he ran away from God’s calling and went to another city by ship, the ship he was traveling in was struck by a storm. As a result, the crew dumped him into the sea. Yet God loved Jonah and saved him through a great fish that swallowed him. He dwelled in the belly of the fish for 3 days and while he was in the belly of the fish, Jonah realized all his faults and repented. God then took Jonah out of the belly of the fish. Often God speaks to us through the circumstances that are happening in our lives. As children of God, we believe that every step we take in our lives, are all determined by God Himself, Psalm 37:23, so that whatever happens in our lives, God can be a part of it.
I DECLARE: Psalm 19:1 – The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork.
I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?
I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
