I READ: Revelation 2:18-29
God praised the faith and the works of the church in Thyatira. He went as far as to say that their last work was even greater than their first, but God still reproached them for allowing sin to enter and stay in their lives. This caused their lives to be impure in the eyes of God for they tolerated and allowed sin to come into their lives. Many of them committed adultery and worshipped idols. In addition, they did not have the heart to repent from their sins. They wrongly believed that they were able to “cover” their sins by their own works and faith in God alone. They took for granted the grace of God and what Jesus did on the cross to pay for their sins. God reminded them sternly to repent from their sins.
I DECLARE: 1 John 1 : 9 : If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
