I READ : John 21:1-14, 19
After Jesus’ resurrection, one day Jesus appeared to some of His disciples who were fishing, one of them was Peter. He ate breakfast with them and after breakfast Jesus spoke to Peter. There was a phrase that Jesus said to Peter at that time. He said “Follow Me”. What does it mean to follow Jesus? It means we are willing to walk with Jesus. We no longer walk according to our desires and goals that we want, but we walk in accordance with God’s will and purpose for us. In other words, we surrender to God. It looks like something unpleasant, but if we really understand that God’s will and purpose are the best for our lives then we will joyfully and willingly follow God.
I DECLARE : Psalm 37:23-24: The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds him with His hand.
I DO : What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?
I PRAY : Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
