DO YOU WANT TO BE MADE WELL?

Daily Verses: John 5 : 1-9

Key Verse: John 5 : 6 : When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”

When Jesus came to the pool of Bethesda there was a paralyzed person who had been at that place for 38 years and had not experienced healing. He had become so frustrated that when Jesus asked him, “Do you want to be made well?” he did not quickly reply “Yes Lord,” but instead complained about how serious the sickness that he had been dealing with for 38 years is. Many times we are like this paralyzed person. We are too engulfed in our own problems. When the Lord asks us, “Do you want to be made well/restored?” we instead reply to Him saying how difficult our problem is and if the if He is even able to really heal us. When we look at the story of this paralyzed person, we can see that it is actually very simple to receive miracles, it only takes believing and fully surrendering to Him. When Jesus asks us the same question, let us respond to Him, “Yes Lord, I do.” Believe and receive everything in faith, without thinking too much or questioning. The Lord loves a pure heart, such as the heart of a child.

Have a heart of a child, who fully believes in their parents, without ever doubting their abilities.
