Safe With The Lord

Proverbs 28:1: “The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.”

In the midst of the world that is becoming more uncertain and with all the occurrences worrying many people, our reaction as God’s children must be different that those who are nonbelievers.

As believers of Jesus, we are called to live boldly, confidently and we must be able to face any kind of challenges. God does not want us to live in fear, dismay or worry. The death of Jesus on the cross and His resurrection have defeated every fear, worry and uncertainty. We must rise up and with strong faith, believe that the Lord Jesus is always with us and the devil will not defeat us. Every fear or worry must flee from our lives.

The Word of God in Proverbs 28:1 says that a righteous person is someone who feels secured/in peace. Righteousness is God’s way to do all things. When we do everything with the righteousness of God’s Word and submit to His plan for our lives, He will promise us with victory in all things. This is in accordance with the promise of God in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

For sure, the devil does not want us to live in peace. That is why we must declare God’s Word often over our lives. The truth/righteousness will free us from the fiery arrow of the devil. Declare that we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, we are more than conquerors, and we are safe and secured in the midst of any shaking or storm.

Like a baby who sleeps peacefully in the embrace of his/her parent even when their surrounding is frenetic and chaotic, we must also stay still with the Lord. Enter into His presence often because in His presence, there is stillness and peace. In His presence, there is comfort and restoration.

These days, there is no safe place except when we are close with the Lord. Let us increase our devotion time with the Lord. This will strengthen us and give us peace in the midst of the shaking in this world that is becoming greater. God bless.
