Life Is a Worship

James 1:26: “If anyone among you thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.”

There are a lot of Christians who think that worship is simply going to church. While in the church they follow liturgies in the order of singing hymns, prayer, reading the Word of God, listening to the sermon and they give offering. Once they leave the church they feel satisfied because they have done their worship.

This type of Christian does not understand the true meaning of worship, hence after leaving the church and feeling like they’ve done their worship, they go back to live their lives the way they want to live. There are those who continue to live according to their worldly/fleshly desires. There are also those who conduct their lives in ways that are not pleasing to God and even compromised with sin from Monday to Saturday. For those people coming to church once a week on Sundays is enough to eliminate all their sins and wrongdoings. This type of worship is not to worship that God has willed for us.

That raises the question, what is the right form of worship according to God? Worship is a lifestyle that matches the values of the Kingdom of God. What is a lifestyle? Lifestyle is how a person conducts their life in terms of how they speak along with their character and their behavior and actions.

Worship or a lifestyle that is pleasing to the Kingdom of God is something that we have to do every day, every time, and everywhere. A worship that is true and pleasing to God does not come by itself. True form of worship must be based on the truth of God’s word.  Therefore, we have to read the Word of God, meditate and act on it every day. It is impossible for someone to have the lifestyle of the Kingdom of God without being diligent in reading the Word and put it into practice.

There are a lot of people who became believers of Christ not because they were invited to church, rather they saw the Godly lifestyle through God’s children. We have full assurance that the harvest of souls will happen and will happen quickly when we are able to see the children of God put into practice this true form of worship.

In these last days, our lives as children of God have to personify an open Bible. It is only with a life that reflects Christ that we can be a blessing and bring those who do not know Jesus to be believers. I encourage you all to take part in this great and last harvest of souls and nations before Jesus ‘second coming. God bless you.
