Godly DNA

Matthew 7:17:” Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.

DNA is abbreviated from Deoxyribonucleic Acid; it is a molecule that gives off genetic and hereditary factors. Example: a father can pass on a swimmer’s DNA to his child and a mother who is very artistic can pass on the artistic DNA to her children. If one does not have the swimmer’s or artistic DNA, no matter how hard he or she tries, the result will be just okay and it will not be as good as those who have the DNA.

As God’s children who have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus and are born again, we automatically have godly DNA. When human beings were first created, God breathed on them and therefore the godly DNA is present in them. But it is saddening that many of God’s children do not know that they are godly offspring and they continuously live in defeat and a stagnant, or even declining, life.

To live maximally, we must realize that we have godly DNA. We are members of the Kingdom of God and His love for us is so great. He wants to bless, restore, and make us to be what He has destined us to be. We are God’s most glorious creation and there is a supernatural power within us.

Godly DNA will give power and strength. This knowledge should make us become diligent and enthusiastic in doing whatever God has trusted in our lives. Example: an employee that realizes there is godly DNA within him will work maximally and as hard as he can, because he knows that the Lord’s anointing is upon everything he does. Another example: a worship leader will lead the congregation to worship the Lord with His anointing because he believes that there is a godly power that will come out when he worships the Lord so that whatever he does will surely bring blessings and positive impact.

As what is written in Matthew 7:17, every one of God’s children comes from a good tree because they have godly DNA. Therefore, they must also bear good fruits (character, mind, desire, heart and action). The fruits we bear will reveal where we come from. Happy Sunday, God bless.
