WILLING TO BE TAUGHT AND INSTRUCTED

Daily Reading : 2 Samuel 12:1-16.

Key Verse : Psalms 94:12:” Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O Lord, And teach out of Your law”.

The character of a child and how that child goes through life depends on the type of teaching that he/she has been receiving from a young age. Children who have never been reprimanded, disciplined, and taught the correct rules will inevitably grow as spoiled kids who do not have great characters. On the other hand, children who were disciplined by their parents and who were taught to do good things, have great characters and make their parents proud.  God as our father also disciplines and teaches His beloved children. David is an example of a person who was easily taught and wanted to change.  When prophet Nathan reprimanded David for his sin of adultery, David immediately repented.  The Lord teaches His children through His word, spiritual leaders, parents, and also life processes.  If we are obedient and willing to be taught by God, then we will become individuals who possess Christ’s characteristics. Our lives will become a blessing and we will also bring pride and glory for the Kingdom of God.

The Lord teaches and instructs the children He loves so that they can become examples to this world.
