WILLING TO BE PROCESSED

Daily Reading : Exodus 3:1-14.

Key Verse : Isaiah 64:8:” But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.”

Moses had to go through a pretty lengthy process before he was sent by God to bring the Israelites out of Egypt and into the promised land of Canaan. In Midian, Moses was processed to let go of his ego and his luxurious life as the son of Pharaoh and he had to become a shepherd. While Moses led the Israelites to wander in the wilderness for 40 years, he also experienced their rebellion. This was also a process for him to shape his characteristic to become humble and to depend fully on God.  All children of God will definitely go through different processes so that the characteristics of Jesus can start to appear within themselves.  Whether or not a person passes a process depends on his/her response.  If he/she is negative, rebels, and runs away from being shaped, he/she will never change and God’s will, will never take place in his/her life.  But if a person is positive, does not complain, give thanks, and is willing to go wherever the Lord brings him/her, then this person will have Christ’s characteristics and his/her life will glorify the Lord.

The Lord’s process will feel lighter if we don’t complain but instead give thanks.
