THE PARABLE OF THE TALENTS

I READ: Matthew 25: 14-30

The parable of the talents tells a story about a few servants of a master, where two servants succeeded to use every opportunity his master gave them, and one servant did not succeed to use the opportunity that was there. The parable of the talents is the same as the parable of the minas in Luke 19. When the servant who received 5 minas succeeded to multiply his minas to become 10 minas, he received the gift of 10 cities from his master. But the servant who did not want to use the opportunity that was given to him did not receive anything (did not experience the Lord’s visitation). What is the secret of these successful servants? Apparently, they were diligent and faithful in doing the little things their masters had trusted them with. They did not underestimate what the Lord had entrusted in their lives. Even though it seemed little and meaningless, they did it diligently and seriously. This is the key to receive the Lord’s visitation: do whatever the Lord has entrusted in our lives earnestly, whether it’s in our family, workplace, or the ministry work of the Lord.

I DECLARE : Luke 19: 17: And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.’

I DO: I will meditate on the Word today and also start to do it throughout this day

I PRAY: I will pray for the Lord’s visitation that will happen in Sunday’s service tomorrow
