THE LORD WILL LEAD

Daily Verses : Exodus 33 : 13 – 17

Key Verse : Exodus 33 : 15 : Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.”

Moses understood that in order to bring the nation of Israel out of Egypt and into the Promised Land, he needed God’s participation. He truly felt that he incapable without the Lord’s help. Only until he was sure that the Lord was leading was his life was he brave enough to move and bring this huge nation to the Promised Land. Moses trusted his life and his nation fully to the Lord. In his prayers, Moses surrendered fully to the Lord’s ways and plans for his nation. Through Moses’ story that we have read today, we learn that in order to place the Lord first in our lives, we must surrender all of our plans to the Lord. This means that we must allow God’s will to happen in our lives, and not our own plans that we try to force upon the Lord, which would otherwise limit God’s working in our lives. Make God the King in your life to reign over your life fully, rather than you reigning over your life.

If you do not want to run into trouble ahead of you, do not move without the Lord.
