PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

Daily Verses: Proverbs 21:1-3.

Key Verse: Ephesians 6: 14: “Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,…”

The definition of justice is that everything is fair, balanced, impartial, and objective. This world has many injustices. Those who are weak and helpless become victim to this. Humans have the tendency to defend people/situations that will benefit themselves – people who are dear to them, influential and/or rich people. They end up not looking at the problem/s objectively, causing us to see injustice win out. The Word of God in Proverbs 21:3 says, “To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.” As children of God, when we make decisions we need to pray that the Lord gives us wisdom like Solomon, so that we can be just and bold enough to stand up for what is right – the truth, even if that results in everyone being against us. Right now, the world needs people who are bold enough to be justice’s voice and champion. Never lose hope in championing justice, either by prayer or our actions. For we know that the Lord who loves justice will be for us and defend us.

Wherever the Lord places us, we need to be bold enough to stand for justice and truth. The Lord will surely defend us.
