PRAYING FOR JUSTICE

Daily Verses : Deuteronomy 4 : 1-10

Key Verse: Deuteronomy 4 : 2 :
You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

The verses you just read above didn’t just apply to the nation of Israel but also to America. God reminded the Israelites that in order for them to be blessed, they need to follow God’s commandment. More specifically, they cannot add or lessen the commandments of God. They also need to teach the commandments to the next generation. America’s justice system was born in accordance to God’s commandment however the previous generation didn’t spread the original values to the next generation. What’s the result of this? These days people tend to lessen or add to the God’s commandment. For example, 39 years ago, the Supreme Court legalized abortion and today 6 states in America have legalized same sex marriage. In addition, racism and discrimination is spreading in this country and people are misusing the justice system. Because of this, America has lost God’s blessings. We will pray today for the judicial system and laws in this nation so that justice that is based on the Word of God will be upheld once more in this nation.

Pray so that the justice of God will flow in America like a swift river that will sweep every injustice in this nation.
