PRAY, PRAISE, AND WORSHIP

I READ: 2 Samuel 8

David’s life journey was colored by war, pursued for murder, adultery and complex family relationships. Even though this was so, the Bible writes that David was the only character in the Bible to be called as a friend of God. The Lord gave David victory wherever he went to war. What was the key to all the victories and the Lord’s favor in his life? David filled his life with prayer, praise, and worship. David knew that when prayer, praise, and worship are lifted, God reigns in that place and also in his life. Besides that, prayer, praise and worship will also make the devil flee. This was seen when David played his harp before King Saul and the evil spirit that had dominion over King Saul came out.

I DECLARE: Psalm 22:4 – But You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel.

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
