PRAY ACCORDING TO THE FATHER’S WILL

I READ: Matthew 6: 9 – 13

When we hear about the word “pray,” we would automatically think about our wish list to God. Today, however, we learned that Jesus has taught us the true meaning of prayer as the breath of life. Prayer connects our relationship and communication with the Father. That being said, what kind of prayer we have been asking for? Do we see prayer as a way to force our will on God? Or do we even treat it as a way to argue with the Father? When Jesus prays for the Kingdom of God to come on earth as it is in Heaven, He really shows how our prayer can actually serve a heavenly purpose. Hence if our prayers today still revolve around our wants, it’s time for us to start reflecting on how Jesus prays.

I DECLARE: Jude 20: But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.

I DO: What actions am I going to take after meditating on God’s words?

I PRAY: Pray according to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
