Daily Verses: Romans 12: 9-21.

Key Verse: Romans 12:18: “If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.”

Living in peace is part of God’s will. This is proven through the different acts of peace that the Father in Heaven shows to His creation. In the Old Testament, priests were in charge of bringing peace to the nation of Israel by giving a sacrifice for the atonement of sin. In the New Testament, God the Father sent His one and only son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross, so there would be peace among us as sinners and the Father in Heaven. These two things prove that the Lord wants to make peace with sinners and that the Lord also wants people to live in peace with one another. Living peaceably must start at the church of God. God’s children must become agents of peace wherever they are. They should be able to fix broken relationships and live peaceably with all. When the world sees God’s children living together in harmony, they will be interested in entering the community of God’s children. This can also be a way to bring them to Jesus. Let us let go of all of our disappointment, bitterness, and incompatibility; live peaceably with all men.

God’s blessings will come to families and communities who live in harmony and avoid quarreling.
