PEACE OF GOD

I READ: John 20:19–23

Three days after the death of Jesus, the disciples got together and locked themselves in one place. They were terrified of the Jews who were going to prosecute them because they were followers of Christ. In the midst of their fears and worries, Jesus appeared and said to them “Peace be with you.” Jesus gave them peace that surpasses all understanding in order to calm the hearts of the disciples. All the fears that were in their hearts were replaced with God’s true love. That applies to us as believers, the grace of God and His peace will always accompany us until the end of times.

I DECLARE: 1 John 4:18 – There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
