Daily Verses : John 20 : 19-23
Key Verse : John 20 : 19 : … for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.”
This week we will celebrate the ascension of the Lord Jesus to heaven, precisely it will be on the coming Thursday. We will learn together what Jesus has done to His disciples before He ascended to heaven. After Jesus rose up from the dead, He did not immediately return to heaven. He stayed on earth for 40 days. Why? One of the purpose of His stay after His resurrection was to restore the heart of His disciples, which is a part of God’s will. Jesus had to do this because He knew that when He was being crucified, His disciples were upset, their faith were shaken, and they lived in fear. Three days after the death of Jesus, which was on a Sunday, the disciples decided to come together in one place. As soon as they gathered, they closed and locked the door. At that time, they did not know that Jesus had risen. But all of a sudden, Jesus came and stood in the midst of them and said, “Peace be with you.” The Lord gave His peace that surpasses all understanding. God reassured the frightened heart of His disciples. All of the fear that filled the heart of His disciples vanished. Jesus, the King of Peace, visited His disciples in a very special way that awaken their faith once again.
The peace of Christ is greater than all forms of fears that exist in this world.
Daily Actions :
If there is any fear and worries in my heart today, I will pray and ask the Lord Jesus, as the King of Peace and Jehovah Shalom, to fill my heart with His peace. I will not stop praying until I feel His peace in my heart.
Daily Declaration :
John 14 : 27 : Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Daily Prayer :
I will pray using the power to bind and to loose, and that is the prayer warfare. I will also use the prayer of declaration to pray for my VIP List.
