I READ: Luke 22:41 – 43
One of the characteristics of Jesus that his Father glorifies is His obedience to His father. Jesus’ prayer in the garden of Gethsemane was proof of how obedient Jesus was to His Father. Jesus obeyed and submitted to His Father, not because of his fear of punishment but because He truly believed that everything His Father did was right and good. And the other reason was Jesus’ love for His Father was greater than the love for Himself. Today we learn that like Jesus, we should put the will of the Father above our own will, not because we fear of punishment but because we love Him and because we understand that His will is good and true.
I DECLARE: I Peter 5:6 – Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.
I DO: What actions am I going to take after meditating on the Word of God?
