OBEDIENCE

I READ: Deuteronomy 7:12 – 15

Proof that we love the Lord is when we obey His Word wholeheartedly. John 14:15 states, “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” Obedience in doing the Word of God means that we are willing to set aside our own flesh desires and prioritize what God wants to do through us. Furthermore, when we obey, we are actually building a foundation as believers so that when storm comes, we may still stay strong and unshakeable. Being obedient and faithful to God’s commandments is like someone who builds a house and lays the foundation on the rock, allowing the building to stay strong despite the storms of life that may come his way (Luke 6:48). The presence of the Holy Spirit surely equips and edifies us to continuously obey and practice the Word of God until the second coming of Jesus Christ.

I DECLARE: Psalm 119:105 – Your word is a lamp to my feet. And a light to my path.

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
