MERCY

Daily Verses: Luke 6:30-36

Key Verse: Luke 6:36 : Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.

In this day and age, the prices of things and the needs of life are continuously on the rise. A lot of people are now afraid that they will not have enough and because of this they tend to think about themselves. Because the Word of God doesn’t know time and situation, as God’s faithful children, we have to be courageous in going against the flow of this world and to keep on showing mercy like the Father in heaven (Luke 6:36). If you remember the story of Isaac, he sowed even in times of drought. Because of his faithfulness, he was able to sow one hundred times more than what he put in. Someone who has a merciful heart will not be stingy with God and others. Everytime the person has a chance to give, that person will give. That merciful heart will bless that person because when the person gives, they will feel joy in their heart and they will reap at the right time. Someone who is merciful will never lack or beg because God’s help will always come whenever the person is in need. Someone who diligently gives is someone who prioritizes God and God will repay that person in abundance.

Surely goodness and mercy will always follow those who have a kind heart.
