MAKING YOURSELF NOTHING

I READ: Philippians 2:1-11

Making yourself nothing means not viewing yourself as someone great, but rather that we are nothing or poor in spirit before the Lord. People like this know that knowledge, degrees, positions, success, and blessings are all because of God’s grace.  They know that only God gives success, and there is no pride whatsoever. Matthew 5:3 says that blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. The Lord knows that those who are humble will accept everything that happens in their life without complaining and can live peaceably with others. This pleases the Lord’s heart, so that the Lord will answer the prayers of a humble person.

I DECLARE: Matthew 5:3 – Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit
