LOVE DOES NOT SEEK ITS OWN ADVANTAGE

Daily Verses: 1 Corinthians 10:23-24, 1 Corinthians 10:33.

Key Verse: 1 Corinthians 10:24: “Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being”.

A community will continue to exist and remain a solid state if each member is thinking of other’s well-being and not seek his/her own profit. This is not an easy task because in general, humans are selfish. When selfishness arises, then love dissipates. Selfish people can’t be good example for others. To suppress own ego and to prioritize other’s well-being, we have to be willing to sacrifice oneself. Sacrifice is one of Christ’s act that we have to practice often in this life. Sacrifice that we do for other’s well-being will be a great testimony for them to see the love of Christ within us. These acts of sacrifice, will open up the eyes for others to follow.

If we focus on other’s well-being, Lord God will focus on our well-being.
