LOVE ACCOMPANIED BY HUMILITY

Daily Verses: Ephesians 4:1-6.

Key Verse: Ephesians 4:2: “…with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love.”

As long as the Lord Jesus lived in the world, He showed humility that we should take as an example. Even though Jesus is Lord and King, He never hated or became angry towards those who mocked and harassed Him. He received all of the insults and reproach quietly and still helped people who needed help. As a teacher, He lovingly washed His disciples feet and at the end of His life, He was willing to die on the cross and bear the sins He did not commit. Because of Jesus’ humility, salvation was able to come to all of mankind who believe in Him. Humility will definitely provide a positive influence, but pride can destroy lives. In order to be a humble person, we need to put our egos to death and reject praise that can cause us to be boastful. Remember that everything that we have comes from the Lord, so there are no grounds that we should boast. Love that is accompanied by humility will cause people to look at Christ in us and feel peace when they are near us.

Humble people are the Lord’s beloved.
