JOY

I READ: John 15:9–11, Nehemiah 8:11

What differentiates the joy offered by this world with joy that comes from the Lord Himself? We all know that the joy offered by the world is temporary and heavily dependent upon the situation and condition around us.  Often times we realize that this kind of joy is very dependent on the “mood” of our hearts.  However, the joy from the Lord is everlasting and is not affected one bit by our situation, conditions or even the “mood” of our heart.  Even though we are faced with storms in our lives, we will be able to stand strong through it all and be filled with thanksgiving if we have the divine joy of the Lord in our hearts.  when we delight in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our heart and we will start to experience restoration in our hearts.

I DECLARE: Philippians 4:4 – Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit
