BE PATIENT WITH THE PROMISE OF GOD

I READ: Hebrew 6:11-20

Abraham is known as the father of faith.  He sets great example for all of us believers in how to hope for God’s visitation and restoration in our lives.  God promised Abraham that he will have a son in his old age. Abraham waited for God’s promise to come to pass, but it was not fulfilled immediately. As Abraham grew older it seemed impossible that he was going to have a son. This verse shows us how amazing Abraham’s faith was. He remained hopeful and persistent in faith as he continuously waited for God’s promise.  He believed that God will not lie to him or forsake His promise. According to God’s timing, Abraham had Isaac in his old age as promised.

I DECLARE: Hebrew 6:19-20 – This hope, which is a safe and secure anchor for our whole being, enters the sanctuary behind the curtain. That’s where Jesus went in advance and entered for us, since he became a high priest according to the order of Melchizedek

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit
