HOLD ON TO HIS PROMISE

I READ: James 1:1-8

When problems and hardships come into your life, as a believer, you need to be strong in the Lord and be sure in His promise that “He will never leave us”, Hebrews 13:5. Those who rely on Him faithfully will be given the strength and grace that will be sufficient for them to get through the hard times. A great example is the life of David. David was a worshiper, also a strong warrior who was able to defeat the lion and bear who were attacking his sheep. David experienced difficult times in his life when he was chased by Saul and sometimes he had thoughts of not having the strength to carry on with his life anymore. But when he was afraid, he knew that the source of his strength was the God of heaven and earth. For us to constantly be strong we need to hold on firmly to the Lord’s promise and not waver even one bit.

I DECLARE: Isaiah 40:29 – He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
