FAITH

I READ: Genesis 15:1-6.

Abraham was someone who put his faith into practice. He trusted God’s promise even though his circumstances seemed impossible. In the New Testament, we read that Jesus performed miracles in places where he found people of faith and how those people put their faith into practice so that the impossible became possible. In order to experience God’s miracles, we have to have faith and trust in the Lord. Having strong faith is something that we continuously have to practice, not something that will appear out of nowhere. The strength of a person’s faith depends on a few things: how much quiet (alone) time you spend with God, how much of the Word of God is read and done with obedience, and how we respond in times of challenges and struggles.

I DECLARE: Hebrew 11:1: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
