COMPASSION

I READ:  Acts 10:9-29

One of the attribute of having a heart transformation is showing compassion to others.  We are transformed to be less critical and judgmental.  Additionally, we are reshaped to be more benevolent toward others.  In the story of Peter’s culinary vision, God advised him to go and spread the gospel to the gentiles (according to the Jewish law, Jews were prohibited to be associated with gentiles).  Peter obeyed God and he showed compassion to the gentiles who had the desire to come to God.  God loves all nations, not only the Jews.  He has the desire to save all.  As a result of Peter’s obedience, a miracle happened.  That day, Cornelius and his household received God’s salvation and they were all baptized by the Holy Spirit (Acts 10:44-48).

I DECLARE: Romans 10:12 – For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit
