I READ: Revelation 3:7-13
There was not one thing displeasing about this church in the Lord’s eyes. In fact, God was very pleased with this church, that He even gave them the key of David. The key of David has the power to open up the doors of heaven so that blessings can be poured out in abundance. It is also used to prevent the works of the devil being done on His churches and nations. The church of Philadelphia was very faithful to the Lord, and this was reflected in their actions. This church never denied His name and always obeyed His Word. In Matthew 7:21-23, The Lord Jesus taught us that the Father in heaven is not pleased with how great our ministry is, nor how much we have prophesied, nor how much we have cast out demons in His name, nor how much we’ve done many wonders in His name. But rather, He is pleased when we do the will of the Father in heaven, which means that we are obeying the Word of God.
I DECLARE: James 2:24 – You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?
I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit
