I READ: Matthew 25:34-46

Humans have the tendency to give when our own financial needs have been fulfilled.  does not say that we give only when we can, but it says that the door of blessing will be opened when we first give.   For God’s children, giving covers two aspects – 1) for God 2) for other human beings.  Giving to the Lord consist of tithe, offering, and ministry.  Giving to others consist of giving to the poor, someone in need, and someone we are moved to blessed.  There are people who only focus on giving to the Lord and not to others and vice versa.  We must find a good balance between the two type of giving and our needs will be fulfilled by the Lord.

I DECLARE: 2 Corinthians 9:7 – So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit
