Wait Upon The Lord

Isaiah 40:31:” But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

We see and hear how the world is filled with shakings. At this time, America is in a season where social, economical and political matters are uncertain and drastically declining.

These days, everything that was unshaken before is being shaken. Many people start to fear, worry and get anxious to face tomorrow. That is why the Bible tells us, “Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth” (Proverbs 27:1).

But for God’s children who live righteously, we have a Kingdom that cannot be shaken, which is the Lord Jesus. The Lord will give help to those who wait upon Him. It says in Proverbs 40:31 that those who wait upon the Lord will have new strength; they will not be weary and faint.

Waiting upon the Lord does not mean doing nothing. It means seeking after the Lord often and have a fellowship with Him. As a result, our faith, body, soul and spirit will be strengthened. We will be renewed and be more sensitive in hearing the Lord’s guidance. In our lives, we will not rely on our own strength, wisdom and might. Instead, we will depend on the Lord in all things.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 says, ““Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.”

Waiting upon the Lord and depending on Him shows our total surrender to the Lord; and this surely pleases His heart. If His heart is pleased, then He will pour out His blessings abundantly and always give us the best. His covering of grace will always protect those He delights in.

The most wonderful and happiest life is a life that is entirely led by and surrendered to the Lord. God bless.
