Spiritual Warfare

Ephesians 6:12:” For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

We must realize that life in the end times will be filled with a great spiritual warfare. The devil knows that his time is short and he will try as much as he can to make believers fall.

To have a life full of victory, we have to know who our enemy is. Many of God’s children who do not know their enemy often think they are against their pastor, friends in ministry, fellow believers and even their own family. Remember, our enemy is not against flesh and blood, but it is against the devil and his followers.

There are two things we need so we can have victory over spiritual warfare. First, it is to be strong in the Lord, Ephesians 6:1 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” And secondly, it is to put on the whole armor of God. Those who are weak will not be victorious in a spiritual warfare. We have to be strong in our faith and not use our own strength, but use the power of God.

Other than being strong, we have to go against the devil using the whole armor of God, Ephesians 6:13-18. The whole armor of God consists of weapons to resist and charge. So, in a spiritual warfare, we must be able to resist and also attack.

We resist by using the armor of salvation, righteousness, justice and faith. When the fiery arrow of the evil one is pointed at our lives, these four things will resist the fiery arrow to come into our lives. Meanwhile, we have to attack the devil by the sword of the spirit, which the Word of God, so that the devil will flee from our lives. Jesus used the Word of God against the devil when he was tempted in the desert. As a result, he fled and Jesus was victorious.

In the days that are becoming more evil, we must always be cautious of the lies and intimidation of the devil in our lives. They can be in a form of various problems and pressures of life such as – not having the desire to have a fellowship with the Lord, loving spiritual things less, leaving ministry, not having the passion to serve the Lord, division and other negative things. If the devil’s intimidation comes into our lives, we cannot stay still but we must rise up and enter into spiritual warfare. Together with the Lord Jesus, we are surely victorious.

Let’s win the spiritual warfare ahead of us, because Christ has won for us. Receive that victory and do not be afraid of the evil one. God bless.
