Ready to Welcome 2019

You crown the year with Your goodness and Your paths drip with abundance”, Psalm 65:11

Tomorrow at midnight, we are to leave 2018 and welcome the New Year 2019. How is the condition of our hearts as we leave 2018 and face 2019?

God’s message through Deuteronomy 31:6 says, “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” Do not be afraid to face the New Year because the Lord will always walk with us. He will not let us walk alone and He will not leave us.

Because of the Lord’s promise that is assured, we must be strong and have courage in our hearts. We must believe and fully surrender to the Lord. We must believe that the Lord loves us very much and He will not allow us to experience unpleasant things in 2019.

Isaiah 40:31 reminds us to always be strong and courageous. Therefore, we must always wait upon the Lord. Fill your days in 2019 with often staying still in God’s presence, meditating on His Word and praying and worshipping the Lord. “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

Whatever will happen in 2019, believe that all things work together for good to those who love God, Romans 8:28. Learn to trust the Lord more, to give thanks more, to rejoice more and to love the Lord even more in 2019.

Although the condition of the world is getting worse, we do not live in the worldly kingdom that is being shaken up. We live in the Kingdom of Heaven that is unshakable, Hebrews 12:26-28. This is the guarantee of our lives.

The Lord also gives great promises to us, that in 2019 we will experience God’s goodness even more as well as His abundant blessings. Psalm 65:11 says how His abundant blessings are symbolized with His paths that drip.

Let us welcome 2018 with head held high and full of hope that 2019 will be better than 2018. Happy New Year 2019. The Lord Jesus bless us all.
