Courage

Isaiah 60:1: Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.

Approaching His second coming, the state of the world has increasingly chaotic and the lives of men are more difficult, to be able to positively impact and make changes to this situation, God requires God’s children who have courage.

Have courage for what? Children of God (i.e. all of us) should dare to be different. Dare to be different means to dare to live a life based on principles or biblical values. In the midst of an increasingly permissive world and away from the values of good and true, we have to have the courage to appear as the light of Christ that can illuminate the “dark” around us.

Be different also refers to the courage to take the right decisions. We’ll hear a lot of opinion and advice delivered by experts to address the economic, financial, health, family and relationships problems based on theory and human wisdom, but we have to make decisions in accordance with God’s Word even though the decision was considered foolishness to the world. People who dare to remain firm to do what is commanded by the Word of God will experience God’s protection. As Psalm 119:105 says “Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light for my path”, so we should use the Word of God as a lamp and a light for our lives.

God also wanted us to declare the truth boldly, in other words, dare to speak and tell what is right according to God’s Word. Many people prefer to remain silent rather than give advice or correction that build and educate. God’s Word says in Proverbs 6:23 “Because the commandment is a lamp and the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life”. So have the courage to give correction of things that are not true because the correction that educates give way of life for people who are reprimanded.

Courage that must also exist in our lives is the courage to preach the gospel of salvation. God’s command is “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And know, I am with you always, to the end of the age “(Matthew 28:19-20). We need to pray that God opens opportunities for us to meet with people who need to hear the gospel of salvation. If the opportunity comes, do not waste it but have the courage to preach the gospel and pray for the people God has sent. We believe that the Gospel is sown in one’s life will bear fruit of repentance in its time.

Brethren, it’s time to rise up and have the courage to live by the principles of God’s Word, boldly declare what is right and wrong and have the courage to preach the gospel of salvation that is only in Jesus Christ. God bless.    Maranatha, come Lord Jesus.
