WORSHIP

I READ: Genesis 2:1-3

Our Father in Heaven created the heavens and the earth and everything in it in six days. He finished His work on the seventh day and blessed and sanctified it. This is the pattern that we should follow as children of God. On the seventh day, which is Sunday for us, we must stop working and sanctify that day just for the Lord by worshipping in His house (church).  Remember that God did not only sanctify the Sabbath, but He also blessed it. Let us be obedient to God’s commandment so that we can still receive His blessings even though we do not work on the day of Sabbath. We must believe that our blessings come from God and our own hard work does not add to what God is willing to give, Proverbs 10:22. In our obedience through worship, our mind and body are also refreshed with renewed spirit so that we are prepared for the new week.

I DECLARE: Leviticus 19:30 – You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary: I am the Lord.

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit
