WORKING DILIGENTLY

I READ: Haggai 2:1-10

After the Israelites returned from their Babylonian exile, God reminded them to rebuild the wall and God’s Temple of Jerusalem.  At that time, God appointed Zerubbabel to lead the Israelites to start rebuilding the Temple and God spoke to him that the nation will need to work diligently so that the rebuilding effort can be done appropriately.  God promised them that His Holy Spirit will dwell among them (Verse 5) and will provide them with the ability to work diligently.  God will also direct the wealth of nations to fund the rebuilding effort.  From this story, we know that His visitation will occur if we respond to God’s calling in our lives and when we work diligently.  When God entrusted us with His work in our lives, we have to act on it joyfully and enthusiastically, consequently, we will able to receive His visitation.

I DECLARE:  Zechariah 4:6: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, ‘Says the Lord of hosts.

I DO: I will work enthusiastically in everything he entrusted me at my daily occupation, my ministry, housework, etc.

I PRAY: I will pray and supplicate the Holy Spirit to open opportunities for me to testify and my mouth shall speak blessings to individuals that I encounter today.
