TRAINED IN WORDS

I READ: Matthew 12:34-37, James 1 : 26

Many children of God are focused on the sins that they commit through their action, but not on the sins that they commit through their words/mouths. The verses above clearly state the consequences that might take place because of what someone says. That is why we need to remember that we should not say words that are idle, prideful, full of lies, contain gossips, and negativity. Jesus says through the Word of God that every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it on the day of judgement. There’s a saying, “Silence is golden”, and this means that it is better to be quiet than commit a sin because of what we say. We need to train our tongue so that only good, righteous, and pleasing words are coming out of our mouths so that we can also be a blessing to others.

I DECLARE: Psalms 37:30: The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue talks of justice.

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
