Daily Verses: Genesis 26:1-13.
Key Verse: Genesis 26:12: Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him.
When Isaac lived in Gerar, there was famine everywhere. But Isaac believed in God’s promise to Abraham, his father, that the Lord will bless Abraham’s descendants abundantly. Holding on to that promise, with boldness, he sowed in the land that was dry and not producing. Because of his action of faith, the Lord blessed the seed that was sown, as a result, he reaped a hundredfold. Sowing is very important because the Word of God says whatever we sow we reap. Just like a farmer, the amount that he’s going to harvest depends on how much seeds were sown. If we sow many blessings, goodness, love and other positive things, we are going to reap as much as we sowed. We are not only going to reap in the form of materials and goodness, but also in the form of various miracles. The God we worship is a God who never owes; therefore, diligently sow with a joyful heart so that we can also reap bountifully
To sow/give is a form of worship that is pleasing to God
