Daily Verses: John 15:1-8.
Key Verse: John 15:5: ”I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
Branches exist because of a tree. The Lord illustrates Himself as the vine (tree) and we are the branches. This shows that we (“branches”) exist in this world because of the Lord (“the vine”), who longs for us to be born. Therefore, if the branches are not attached to the vine, then one day the branches might die. Many of God’s children choose to be attached to another tree. But, it can be assured that one day, they will be spiritually dead because they are not attached to the true vine. To live well is when we are attached to the vine, the Lord Jesus. Abiding in Jesus gives us the assurance that our prayers will be answered (John 15:7:… you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.) Other than that, branches that are attached to the vine will receive good food and nutrition. So, someone who is attached to the Lord Jesus or abide in Him, will surely have a healthy body, soul and spirit. These days, we have to abide in the Lord even more, so that no struggle or joy can separate us from Him.
Someone who abides in the Lord will produce good fruits in his/her life.
Let the fruits of the spirit be produced in my life.
John 15:2:” Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. “
I pray so that God’s churches in America will rise up and live in the truth.
