THE POWER OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP

I READ: 2 Chronicles 20 : 1 – 28

King Jehoshaphat was a king of Judah who was well-known in his time. He was someone who feared the Lord and ruled his nation according to the Lord’s command. One time during his reign, the people of Ammon and Moab were to attack Judah. King Jehoshaphat immediately gathered his people to pray and fast together and seek the Lord’s face. The Lord answered their prayers and instructed them to not be afraid because He will fight for them; and their part in the battlefield was only to sing and shout praises. The next day, they went to the battlefield with rejoicing, singing and praising the Lord. And it’s amazing, when they praised and worshiped the Lord, He destroyed and defeated their enemies. They experienced a great victory; and they were even able to take away the spoil of their enemies in a period of 3 days.

I DECLARE: Acts 16 : 25-26 : But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God… Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.

I DO: I will attend Harp & Bowl Night every month faithfully because I believe the praise and worship I lift up will bring the Lord’s visitation into my life

I PRAY: I will pray and lift up praise and worship in our family altar because I believe by doing this, the bondages that are binding our family’s VIP prayer list will be loosed.
