THANKSGIVING

I READ: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-22.

When we are happy and things are going well in our lives, it’s easy for us to give thanks. But can we still give thanks when things are pressing and troublesome? Giving thanks to the Lord during difficult times is seen as a sweet sacrifice as it is God’s will for us to rejoice and give thanks in any situation. Thanksgiving is the first step to turn your situation around because thanksgiving pleases God in which He will intervene and help or perform miracles. Thanksgiving will also make the devil flee for not succeeding in influencing you to grumble. Most importantly, thanksgiving will make our hearts filled with the joy and peace of God.

I DECLARE: Psalms 100:4, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to him, and bless His name.”

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
