TEACHING GOD’S COMMANDMENT

Daily Verses: Matthew 28 : 18-20, Matthew 22 : 37-39.

Key verse : Matthew 28 : 20 : teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you…

The fourth lesson that Jesus taught His disciples before He ascended to Heaven is to teach the new souls of God’s commandments. There are many commandments in the Bible but there’s one that’s the most important of all and it can be found in Matthew 22. So what is the most important commandment of all? Love the Lord your God with all your heart and you shall love your neighbor as yourself. From this we learn that it is important for us to teach new believers/Children of God to love the Lord even more. How? By doing the daily devotion consistently, which in turn will increase our intimacy with the Lord and God will also pour His love into our heart. In addition, the new believers need to study His Word so that they will understand God’s will and be willing to act upon it. The only way we can love others like ourselves, which is the second commandment, is when God’s love overwhelms our heart. What is the meaning of loving others? It’s written in 1 Corinthians 13 and love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, etc. If God’s love overwhelms our heart, we can do all of the commandments above with a joyful heart.

Teach us Your immeasurable love and teach us how to love one another.

Daily Action :
I will pray so that the Holy Spirit will open up opportunities for me to testify especially to the people in my VIP list. I will also declare blessings upon everyone that I meet today.

Daily Declaration :
Matthew 22 : 37,39 : 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

Daily Prayer :
I will pray and lift up my worship in my family altar (i.e not small group). I believe that through the prayer and worship, bonds that are binding the people in my family’s VIP list will be broken.
