START WITH YOUR SURROUNDING

I READ: John 4:5-42

The first act of evangelism was recorded in the meeting between Jesus and the Samaritan woman.  She experienced a personal encounter with Jesus and as a result she received Him as Lord and Savior.  After her encounter with Jesus, she went back into town and testified about Jesus.  There were multitudes of people who came and believed, including her siblings and relatives. In this story we learned that we can start evangelizing within our own surrounding. We can evangelize to our friends, classmates, family members, even to our personal doctors. Acts 1:8 says that we will be witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth, that is our mission.  Jerusalem is our own family, Judea symbolizes our friends, Samaria resembles our acquaintances, and the ends of the earth symbolize those who we do not know (strangers).

I DECLARE: Acts 1:8 – But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth

I DO: What actions am I going to take after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit
